1997–2006 Jeep TJ/LJ Milwaukee PACKOUT™ Mount

If you use your TJ or LJ for camping, overlanding, trail runs, working out of the Jeep, or simply carrying tools and spare parts, you know that securely organizing gear in the back can be a challenge.

The ObsoleteJeep PACKOUT™ Mount provides a bolt-in, no-drill mounting solution for using Milwaukee PACKOUT™ boxes in the rear of a 1997–2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ or LJ/Unlimited.

The mount installs using the Jeep's existing factory rear-seat mounting points after the rear seat is removed. There is no need to drill additional holes in your Jeep.

It is designed to work with or without the OEM rear carpet. For Jeeps running without carpet, I recommend adding the optional edge trim.

Purpose-Built for the TJ/LJ

This isn't a universal mounting plate adapted to fit a Jeep.

The mount is designed the mount specifically around the TJ/LJ rear cargo area and factory mounting locations. Once installed, compatible Milwaukee PACKOUT™ boxes slide into position and click into the mount much like they would on Milwaukee's own mounting systems.

The result is a simple and secure way to organize tools, spare parts, recovery equipment, camping gear, and everything else that tends to end up bouncing around in the back of a Jeep.

The mount is manufactured from steel and finished in a durable black powder coat.

What I Run in My Own LJ

My personal setup uses two Milwaukee PACKOUT™ Large Tool Boxes (Part #48-22-8425), with two PACKOUT™ Tool Boxes (Part #48-22-8424) stacked above them.

One of the reasons I wanted to use PACKOUT in the Jeep was the flexibility of the system. I can configure the boxes for a particular trip and securely carry tools, Jeep parts, recovery equipment, camping gear, or other equipment while helping keep everything organized, dry, and protected from dust when the top is off.
